About Me

I'm an Information Security analyst at a bank in the Southeast. I've been working in the technology field for almost twenty years, going as far back as 1991, when I started running IBM Type 1 cable and fitting the ends with universal connectors to plug into MAUs for token ring networks. Incarnations since then include Unix system administrator, LAN / WAN technician, Windows server admin, and ESX virtualization specialist. Finally, my passion for computer security led me to my current field, where I'm lucky enough to lead a team of infosec analysts and play with all sorts nerdly stuff. I find that my diverse tech background is a huge asset when working in security, and I am constantly amazed that the more I know, the more I realize that I don't know.

Otherwise, I'm just a dude trying to make his way. I'm stumbling through it just like to rest of you, and I like to blog about it occasionally. Gimme a shout if you'd like.
